You just know that there’s like five kilos of coke and twenty pairs of Wayfarers tucked into the pockets of twenty different Member’s Only jackets in there.

This picture makes me want to get a Member’s Only jacket and coke. I already got the Wayfarers.

My first car was a 1988 Polo and it was indestructible. The only thing that stranded me at the side of the road was it’s pierburg carburettor, which I changed to a larger twin choke weber.

My parent’s first car was a ‘91 Golf. It was just an incredible car. Everyone in Europe kinda had a Volkswagen at some point. At least the most people that I know. Was your Polo a “Steilheck” or “coupe”?

Steilheck/breadvan/estate.
It was the UK only (I think) Ranger. Had almost all the options plus roof bars and steel sunroof. I bought it in 2008 for £300 it was pretty rough but was reliable.

And much more I don’t care to enumerate

Yeah well, that’s VAG for you. But still light years better than late 90s/early 00s.
